Endurance tests performed on tracks or test beds, as well as the close collaboration with the best research centres, customers and suppliers, provide a flow of information which creates a continuous cycle of testing and improvements before obtaining the final result. On this basis, our plants are equipped with test benches that enable the reproduction of the conditions of the test tracks at high frequencies, mechanical forces and speeds in both vertical and horizontal positions.

To reduce the severity of the end stroke impact which causes an unpleasant experience for the occupants of the vehicle, AL-KO has designed a hydraulic stop system. With this system it is not only possible to modify the actuation length but also the damping forces.
In its ongoing research and development, AL ‑ KO designs and manufactures shock absorbers for train, metro and tram carriages, as well as shock absorbers for locomotive pantographs.
